VSP Vision Eyes of Hope® was founded more than 25 years ago to increase equitable access to eye care and eyewear for people in need.
Today, 1.1 billion people worldwide live with vision impairment and can’t get the care they need. To address this disparity, VSP® Eyes of Hope removes barriers of income, distance, and disaster to bring vision care where it’s needed most across the country. To date, VSP Eyes of Hope has provided access to no-cost vision care for more than 4 million people. We’re accelerating health equity through programs that increase equitable access to vision care, aid communities affected by disaster, and invest in the optometrists of the future.
Eyes of Hope initiatives provide equitable access to no-cost eye care and eyewear.
We help restore sight in communities affected by disasters by partnering with disaster relief organizations to provide access to eye care and eyewear.
We invest in partnerships and initiatives that improve health equity by addressing access to healthcare and other social risk factors such as education, nutrition, economic stability, and overall wellbeing.
We support and promote the field of optometry by offering a variety of programs and services designed to increase diversity in the optometric field and help optometry students and new graduates reach their career goals.
